The Realtors® at Turning Point Real Estate consider themselves “Ambassadors for Good” in the Community. We started The Giving Point Project to give back to the community in which we live and serve. Those Realtors who choose to participate in the project give 5% of our commission to the non-profit of the home buyer’s or home seller’s choice.

Our First Recipient

Frederick County non-profits

The Highland Group was the first to kick off the project with a donation to the Jeanne Bussard Center in Frederick Md, one of our Preferred Charities, in November 2011. The Jeanne Bussard Center has been serving the needs of mentally disabled Frederick residents since 1965, by providing meaningful employment and education, training and rehabilitation.

Promoting Community

There are many local, state and national non-profits who are doing the wonderful work of helping those in need. Frederick is full of worthy groups and full of charitable people. We hope to help many non-profits through the Giving Point Project.

We look forward to serving our community in the future by helping non-profits who serve us with contributions and publicity.  If you are considering buying or selling in the Frederick area, consider the win-win of helping your local charity while you work with experienced, professional Realtors®. Here is a short video I took while wandering around the Historic District on the First Saturday of June, “I Art Downtown Frederick” was the theme:

I love the bravery of this little guy, he couldn’t have been more than 12 years old:)   I love these surprises you find when you’re exploring downtown Frederick.   Frederick is really a fun place to live, work and play.
